a brief history...still in the making

I've had experience as an artist, poet, telemarketer, pre-press/color corrector, large format ink jet printer, graphic designer, creative art director, desktop publisher, prep-cook, saucier, line cook, freelance designer, print coordinator, graphics manager, advertising manager, art director and marketing manager. I've been employed by a major retail shopping chain, an independent printing operation, a large real estate developer and a senior living corporation. I have helped open restaurants in Chicago, helped prepare a dinner at the James Beard House, cooked in Ireland and been line cook in two of the top restaurants in the state of Ohio. I also have worked in the health care industry at a health center and a leading innovative medical device company. Interspersed along with all those I have sold paintings, exhibited in galleries, painted murals, freelance graphic designed, catered private celebrations and custom painted slot race cars.

From paintings and illustrations to advertising and being a chef, every one of these positions required the ability to read, listen, understand and communicate with people. What better way to understand than to have to work with, along side or for them? Instead of just reading people/tendency surveys...I've actual experience to add to the 'studies'. My diversity is my strength...I know where I have been and I know where I am going. I am not only prepared for the challenges... I invite them.

I am looking to be a part of something special. An agency or company that is thinking out of the box as much as they expect their employees to think outside the box.

I want to be surrounded by the conflict, flurry, challenge, excitement, passion of an organization that is making it's future, not waiting for it. One that will be in a constant state of creativity, evolution and innovation.
